On a property of our size, there is always work to be done and we greatly value all the volunteers who have served year after to year to help us complete projects. Some projects are ongoing such as maintenance, the upkeep of our grounds, and housekeeping. Other projects are one-time deals such as the building of our chapel or adding a porch to the clubhouse. Regardless of the projects at hand, you could be a valuable asset to the team at NTM Homes by giving of your time and talents to the Lord’s work on this property. (And if you feel led to help supply the financial needs to continue with these various projects, let us know.)
During the volunteer season last year a myriad of projects were completed… and in all four categories: general, electrical, mechanical, and grounds maintenance. Much work happened that was never on a list nor ever got recorded. And most people will never know all that was done to keep this place running. Word has it that “this is the closest we have ever come to finishing the ‘Winter Projects’ list.” Here is a peek into a few of the BIGGER projects that were finished last season: 10 apartments prepared for new arrivals, bridge repairs, painting, concrete repairs and replacements, plumbing, painting, irrigation, tree removal, painting, insulation added in 9 attics, a slew of electrical projects, painting, pest control, and flooring replaced in over 20 rooms.
‘Twas a good year and we are so grateful to all our volunteers and their willing hands that helped to share a heavy work load. And what will be accomplished as we head into a new volunteer season? We will see…..
